Looks like I have an Abisku in 41 for $200 if anyone wants it!
Have you ordered a 40?
Are you going to sell the 41 before you try on the 40?

Re: Lundhags Abisku Trial

They fit extremely well through the ankle and foot. Tight, but not in any one spot. Just uniformly snug. The toe box is massive and I probably have 1/4 to 1/2 inch between the front of my toes and the front of the boot. It's hard to tell with the upper as thick and stiff as it is. They are comforta...

ATers also know that these types of under binding crampons are complementary to skins and never used instead of them, bit rather in addition.

Re: crampon vs skins

Crampons vs skins are not an either/or question. ATers know ski crampons are a thing. While not common to tele', it's no big leap and I can see them on crusty stuff where skins won't work. Sorry if my post was too long-winded to be clear. Yes- ski crampons are definitely a thing (was not trying to ...

Re: Review: Altai KOM 174cm

It’s funny, but the gear whore in me keeps wanting to buy a pair of Koms. I know I’d love them. But then the practical gremlin on my shoulder whispers “you’ve got a pair of early 2012 Vector BC with the cuddly bear on the top sheet”. Plus I have a whole load of other skis to cover all the bases. Th...

Re: Review: Altai KOM 174cm

I have 75mm mounted on my Koms- Only so that I can use a modern plastic Telemark boot when I want to. Although, I often enjoy just tooling around on my Kom with a light leather Nordic touring 3pin boot (on gentle to moderate terrain and ideal snow) when out with my autistic son. At 98mm underfoot- t...

Re: crampon vs skins

Forgive me- but, this thread smells a bit of sock-puppetry... Crampons under anything are primarily used for climbing and traversing on ice. Though, I have used crampons when felling trees on extreme slopes- even when it is not icy. Crampons do not glide- they only grip- therefore, crampons under a ...

Re: Stiffer Boot for Xplore

@JohnSKepler
Note-
the standard Lundhags Abisku/Guide has a wider and larger-volume metarsal-toe box vs the Alfa Free-
the Expedition is even roomier inside.
