Re: Voile 3 Pin Cable Setup

I only tighten mine enough to keep them from popping open. Plenty of tension for downhill control and unfortunately too much for resistance free touring. When I'm doing laps I just leave the cables on and I seem to get used the extra resistance. So is the general process then to just gradually tigh...

Re: Voile 3 Pin Cable Setup

I have a 3 pin hardwire on a set of Annums and an OG gold hardwire, non 3p binding on voile vector BCs. Both are used for yo-yo laps though I tend to be open to longer approaches on the Annum. I use a garmont excursion or crispi antarctic boot. With the 3p Annum I tighten the springs sufficient to k...

runckle: Agreed - wish I had more. Stingers were a random Sierra Trading Post find from earlier this year.

Score! Looks like that shop has some nice xcd gear. Eg. G3 Stinger!

What's the name of the shop :)
That’s my garage runckle; the Stingers are a secret Xmas gift hiding amongst the ski horde 🤙

Re: Crispi Antartic

Oh nice they look in great shape. interesting to see how they broke in different from mine, with creases in different places. I have a tough time with mine they are breaking right above a knuckle and digging into my foot and I can't seem to figure out why. What size and how much? They look big, 45?...

Found a pair in good shape at the secondhand store - stoked! The 3p Annum rig just got more interesting.

Re: Voile Vector BC Binding Choice

Thank you lo-fi, vt_trees, al, and ben for sharing respective experiences. Going to mount up the hardwires currently in-hand. Someday I'll find a pair of the discontinued OG orange hardwires and play with a swap, but until then the 3p hardwires will do. Cheers

Re: Voile Vector BC Binding Choice

I have Switchbacks on a pair of vectors and like the way they tour but never had luck getting them to work with leather boots. I think a T4 or Excursion is perfect for this ski and the type of skiing the OP is planning on. Leather will work in soft snow but it is not optimal IMO. Appreciate the fee...

Voile Vector BC Binding Choice

Picked up a pair of used, cheap Voile Vector BCs in 180 to use as yo-yo skis in powder conditions with my two-year old in the backpack this winter. Looking for binding suggestions. Leaning towards 75mm and the Voile sidethrow w/ removable heel for additional, optional, control depending on terrain c...
