Patroller, seeing me on Meijdo, at crested butte stopped me and told me about seeing this failure on mountain.
More I use them, the less stoked I am, especially after spring sticky snow tour…..

Re: S-bound 98 and Nansen vs. Rabb 68
Jb tele - what binder and boot did you go with? I am running my Rabb with voile cable straight to ski. It’s ok and allows my to go excursion in steeper and tough snow. Bummer is, I find my Alaskas a bit soft for it. I picked up rei garage Alfa frees yesterday and considering a change….but when it’s ...

Re: Which ski for heavy skier?
Hold the show! Asnes now has a 196 cm RABB? I see it on their website but not for sale anywhere. I am 6'4" and 200 lbs and have the 188 Rabb. It is acceptable, but a 196 would be the sweet spot for me and I highly suggest poster go for the long Rabb. Especially after seeing his terrain. My 188 Rabbs...

Why not try to drill out and form x-skin attachment slits for x-skins?
I would hate to ski down on skins, especially on a low cambered ski.
I would for one may fallow you after you develop a good method! I have plenty of skis to spare, just not much time.

Salomon Escape 83
Howdy - Curious if anybody has tried this ski? I’m on the hunt for a ski in this class (78, discovery80, 88, ingstad, ?). This would by my skinniest ski for distance forest service tighter trails and some fresh snow here and there (to replace 25 yr old e99). Other skis which get a bit of use are Ros...

Great by 2000’s standards! Couple mile approaches never bothered me in these.

Re: Rabb 68 Questions: Boots, Waxing, and Skins
Hi All - Reporting back on Rabb 68. I have now go about 40-50 miles on these skis. A mix between road approaches and good treeline and above treeline alpine ski terrain with 20-25 degree slopes. I went voile 3-pin because I had them and have both Alaska 75 and Excursion Boots. Alaska: Nice to tour, ...

Alpina Discovery 80 Ski Availability?
Anybody have intel on if or when the alpina discovery 80 or pro 80 will be back in stock (looking forthe 208cm option)? I have seen the 175s in stock and look like a fun ski. Re: Binding recommendation for Karhu Guides and Garmont Excursions
I used tele lite dogs with garmont excursions and guides. This is just a three pin binding. For soft conditions I really liked just the pins, but if conditions got harder, I felt the excursions were under powered with just the three pins. The bindings failed and now have with hardwire 3-pin and much...
