Re: Stiffer Boot for Xplore

Hey, @JohnSKepler Didn’t you buy an F-1? I’m just saying for the Objective, it’s light, great ROM, it will take a while to break in. If you don’t like the F-1, let me know what size, I wouldn’t mind a second pair. Well, mine are F-1 Race, I wouldn’t mind at all having a “stiff” pair with a tongue! ...

Re: Stiffer Boot for Xplore

According to a prior US distributor of Lundhags with whom I spoke they are no longer available in the US period, and won't be. Same person (as well as others here) said they are hands down the best boots. Might be worth the effort to get them shipped from Finland. If they don't fit in your living r...

Stiffer Boot for Xplore

My experiment with the Alfa Free is dunzo*. I love the concept, love the BOA, love the way they tour, but it's a one-way love - at least with my right heel. It's really sad because they are SOOOO good on my left foot. I've done a lot of experimenting to stop the calcaneus blister on my right heel bu...

Re: Worth it to wait for new Tx Pro?

At the end of the season I had finally developed enough confidence to visit some resorts. First, the only way to learn to Tele is to go ski at resorts. If you can ride the lift up and Tele down 20 times in a day you will just got a LOT more turns in than hiking up. I prefer backcountry, but for lear...

S-Bound 98 Length Recommendations

Looking at picking up a pair of skis in the end of season sales or, better yet, second-hand. Filtering various write-ups from reviews to personal anecdotes the S-Bound 98 seems to perform similar to the Asnes Falketind 62 in Kick and Glide as well as vertical and it has scales. I really like the FT6...

Meier Norheim Telemark Ski

I like to peruse the sales at the end of the season and came across the Meier Norheim ski, "Thoughtfully designed by telemark skiers, our telemark skis are handmade in Denver, Colorado by skiers, for skiers." They go on to cite some glowing qualities as well as some tele specific specs. I've not bee...

Re: How Do You Ski Downhill?

. I was on a brand new pair of skis, that I quite like, but it was very icy and I had trouble holding the tele stance for long enough to make a turn. What??? Brand new pair of skis, but I’m not saying what skis! Wow! That is just unethical! How is any ski purchasing addiction going to be fed by not...
