Re: Trade War
In the U.S., the top 1% own 31% of assets in the market. For the bottom 50% it's 5%. This data is hard to define, and hard to collate, but the bottom line is that a huge number of good paying blue collar jobs went overseas in the last few decades. Now, 50 countries including the EU, have come out in...

Re: Boot Repairs
If they're not under warranty, you could take them to a cobbler. Or you could contact Alpina and see what they say. I'm a little surprised they're separating at the front, as there's not a whole lot of upward pressure at the toe. If the separation isn't migrating aft, you might be able to get away w...

Re: A little skiing on cream and ice...
It's always good to see some turns. The conditions actually look a bit challenging. Nice turns.

Re: Mitigating Snow Buildup Underfoot
In the past, I've used spray silicone with good results. Also, Teflon tape can help. I think you're just a little south of me. I ski mostly in the Bear River Range. I've noticed a lot more caking underfoot this year with the warmer temperatures. Wondering if you seen the same though, if you ski at ...

I have a season pass at Deer Valley. Right now, I'm at $35.84 per day. I'm at $59 a day at Park City. I can't affect the numerator, so I focus on the denominator.

You could also epoxy some Binding Freedom inserts in the skis. Because they are larger diameter, they may engage wood that hasn't been affected by water.

Re: Boot recommendations /shiver/txpro/evo
Your foot is way different than mine (I think, since I find the Tx Pro from this year and from 5 years ago comfortable). The Evo is stiffer in the sole and bellows. Dropping a knee put me more on my toes than on the ball of my foot. Also, they didn't hold my heel down very well.

Re: Telemark on light gear Reciepts
Way back in 1971, I skied on what at the time was light gear. Three pin and the shoes seemed like running shoes on cross country skis - I guess. We skied in about 6" of old sunbaked powder. The only way I could turn was in a tely stance, so I guess it existed 50+ years ago.
