Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding System Review
Changing the flexor is as you say relatively quick, but I am not changing it for shorter descents and only for prolonged continuous ones. When attaching or removing the skins I have no issues changing the flexor at the same time, but this is for tours and not racing. Loose parts that can be lost are...

Re: What to think of Alpina crew?
A lousy answer. Anyone can make errors, but customer support should be more helpful. It seems Alpina Alaska boots can fail on all models, with the 75mm version having your failure as well as boot splitting open on the front like this: https://www.telemarktalk.com/download/file.php?id=1863 I have don...

Re: Boot recommendations for TTS-setup (Moonlight Pure tele)
I would not discard a used TX Pro, and I have a friend that have been happily touring on that for a long time. He will upgrade to the new version, but that is also because his old ones are worn out. A used TX Pro is much easier to come by than F3 and you can even get to try a new one on in a shop fo...

Re: Alfa FREE A/P/S GTX XPLORE Boot Review 2022
I have now tried my Alfa Free on some outings and can share my impressions. As stated above, I bought a used pair this winter. I wanted them as a complement to my Skaget and have used them with my Falketind 62 Explore. My size 41 Free weighs in at 805 grams compared to my Skaget at 710 grams. The sh...

Re: 2022 Falketind 62 Xplore 196 cm First Impressions
Thanks for a nice review reborntelemark. I am glad you are happy with the gear. The E99 isn't too bad at turning though; here is a picture of my wife skiing Dronningkrona on them (on 3-pin 75mm and Asolo Morgedal boots): https://www.telemarktalk.com/download/file.php?id=11179 If I were you I would c...

Re: Boot recommendations for TTS-setup (Moonlight Pure tele)
I would only use the F1 for touring and if one get hold of a pair it would be nice boot for that use, but I would add a TX Pro or similar for resort and possibly steeper skiing. It is of course dependent on personal preference, gear and usage. F3 looks very similar to the original TX with T2 walk me...

Re: Boot recommendations for TTS-setup (Moonlight Pure tele)
As for your Crispis, you could thermofit them again, if the insert allows. Will thermofitting reduce the size of the innerliner? Not sure if these shoes have innerliners which cat be termofitted: Was on a strict budget when they were purchased. I think thermofitting expands the foam in the liner, m...

Re: Boot recommendations for TTS-setup (Moonlight Pure tele)
You might get better answers at: https://www.backcountrytalk.com/forum/bc-talk/backside-bar-grill It is more telemark (as well as AT) oriented than this (wrongly named) forum, which seems to focus more on the lighter and lower angle side of touring. Many here does telemark and can weigh in though. R...

Re: Did The New TXPro Just Drop?
If you are only skiing resorts with Outlaw X, then the new TX Pro does not seem to offer any/much advantage. The improved walk mode and less weight is the main advantages, and will likely be game changers for touring. It does mean that it is not suitable for skiing in walk mode any more. As always y...

Re: Fischer S-Bound vs Madshus Panorama
Well! Strange move Alfa! The change from regular eyelet to fabric loop might be due to the eyelets sticking out and catching on stuff and possibly being bent. I have forgotten to mention it, but I have used pliers on two eyelet or so on my Skaget, to close them as they seems to have opened somewhat...
