Re: Unapologetic love note to the Fischer E99

Well Woods, the Glitts are pretty good at k&g too... Not exactly a turning beast, but *probably* best at it than the E99, —but I can't be sure since I never tried those ones on my feet... I just figured by pressing them together to realize that the camber was sort of high and stiff. Again, another d...

Re: Unapologetic love note to the Fischer E99

What about the Madshus Glittertind or the M55 (same ski)? You guys are raving about the E99, but I prefer the softer wax pocket of those skis. The Later Barnett was a great advocate of the Glitt... Just steering the pot!

Re: Will NNNBC handle this?

Did you check the BC 80 carefully? Too strong a camber to be used in BC, in my opinion. Better than the BC 90, though. I'd try to find an Eon instead... NNNBc will handle that kind of ski...

Re: FT 62

Guys, if you want to talk about La Cordée, why not do it here: https://telemarktalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3273 It might not be useful to mix a hot topic like that with Rod's pacifist internal debate about the FT62! Thanks Benjamin and sorry Rod... Back to the FT62... who is even better then LilCl...

Woods: I'll be too old, if you wait till the end of pandemic...

Yeah, weird ski — lots of sidecut for a XC BC ski. But I kind of like weird stuff (except from Rossignol: weird AND crappy).

Ok Martin, thanks for your input...

FT 62

Bizarre ski; but lots are raving about it... I'd be willing to try. But where do you guys got it from? SportAlbert? It would cost 900$ Cn;definitely not feverish... I do not see anybody carrying it in NAmerica...

Re: Ski Length Dilemma

I am afraid you'll not be able to make any assumption prior to experience... Try long, try short and decide for yourself. There is no rule, no universal ski length chart. Sorry about that. It's good to hear about others experience, but you'll have to make your own decision. You know what? You can't ...

Re: Will these leather Alpina Alaska NNNBC boots stretch out in the width?

I wouldn't use heat; the glue would melt and the rubber would probably unstick. Bring the boot to a good cobbler; he has the right tool to stretch em. Mink oil works great on leather (to make it softer) but on Alaska... not sure of the results. It is the rubber guard that makes it difficult to stret...
