Re: Hydration

You are right Ben; going out for a few days is another thing. But I was just reacting to the new injonction about drinking water all the time, even for an afternoon outing. Some suggest 1,5 liters for an half an hour walking... more if the activity is more intense...https://sipwell.com/fr/blog/boire...

Re: Crispi Pro Comp Telemark Boot

Of course, they are in good shape... but 125$ for a boot that is almost 30 years old... Hum, not sure. But sometimes, we need to find out by ourselves. I did it last year (the boot was new and really cheap, like 35 $ US); it was far from my best buy. Good thing about them is they're comfy. The downs...

Re: Crispi Pro Comp Telemark Boot

How much are they going for? That's the ultimate question... If they are cheap, go for it! I bought a pair of Alpina Telelite last year (similar)... They were great until they broke apart. But these are better quality (norwegian welt).

Re: Frankenbindings

There is also another simple solution for having you cables out of the way without removing them: 25231.jpg Voile use to make them; you snap them underneath the lip of the heel piece. I use that system on one of my ski for years; great! They are probably easy to make out of HDPE or with a 3d printer...

Re: What length BC55, E99 or similar?

Oh yeah... You re right! The Rossi is the BC59 and BC65... The Madshus are much better; I would go for 180. I have a pair of those that I like very much: it is the Glittertind (Flame version). Soft camber, easy to turn. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSRpdUYLoAs At the very end, you will see the se...

Re: What length BC55, E99 or similar?

Hi Snow-Mark! Well, I guess the manufacture recommendation would be a good place to start! I believe it is 185 for the BC55. Not sure about the others. Do not follow Rossi recommandations; the scales won't grip. Go shorter. I used to have a Rossi BC90; the recommendations were offset... I end up wi...

I can't! I need at least 3 pairs; xc, xcd and downhill... We are taking our vacations, my gf and I, and we have a ski box full... (Pinnacle and Ursa, Atomic TM24 and Tua Montour, K2 Shukshan and Dynafit SL80, K2 Wayback... And now, the bindings? And the boots? Oh man, we've got way too much for the ...
