I just checked my 196 FT62 and there is the same distance as you. I will check With my friend where did I mount the 188 last year. The 196 were ode-drilled but I mounted the 188... both my 196 and your 188 were mounted in the same shop

Re: Asnes FT62 red version (old) vs green version (new)
Do you know apart from the cosmetic if there is a difference between the old model (red) and the newer (green). I copied that from the Asnes thread. That is from Crister who works from Asnes and happen to be involved in the development (I think) of the FT62. I don’t think you could get a better ans...

Re: Åsnes Falketind 62 (FT62) 172cm
Just need to rectify one thing from David awesome review of the FT62... he was not in the middle of nowhere but on the hill just next to my family farm where I grew up ;) I was already an avid XC skier at that time and my neighbor big hill was a bit frightening for me and my friends. We did go a cou...

Re: Asnes FT62 - 180cm vs 188cm
I have had the FT62 for 2 winter and really happy I got it in my quiver. But I must say this winter has not been the best for it as we did not get any kind of base so the snow kind of stayed “ loose” all winter. This ski is best used, as so many said so on this forum, on a few Cm of powder over a go...

Re: WTB - Smiley plates
These are still manufactured. I remember seeing them in stock a couple months ago. Maybe these guys are keeping their factory orders low, and leaning on L.E.A.N. a little too much for retail. If I really needed it, and didn't have access to it, I would try my own ad hoc design with sheet metal, tin...

Re: OMG! Stupid snow here.
Yeah, banner year for Alaska and Alyeska is at 580". That's a lot! That is 48 foot of snow!!! How deep is the base? Of course not 48 foot... but still hard to imagine  You guys must be kidding... if not we will send a couple of trains to bring some snow here... anybody thought about building...

Re: The Great North American ASNES FEVER!
I spent too much of my day reading and debating with my self about the almost perfectly continuous range of skis from Asnes. Between the posts I read on here and their website I am convinced that I need every ski they make. I decided I want the Asnes MT 51 first! https://www.en.asnes.com/produkt/mo...

Re: Help me to not be a jerk
Those look like nice skis for the money, probably nice for offtrack XC use. However they are way too wide for tracks. IIRC a Fischer E99 is borderline for tracks (66-54-61). With those dimensions the 66mm shovel will rub occasionally, especially in curves. My old E99 have been the only ski I used b...

Re: Help me to not be a jerk
Thank you all for the direct responses. I honestly could not tell if my skis were f-ing up the track or not. On the well-used tracks it seemed like my skis more or less fit. The side is groomed flat for skate skiing so I will stay over there. I have to assume that my shuffling around on there has l...
