Corn dogs

Corn snow. Rolling terrain, with the occasional steeper bit here and there. NNN-BC boots, Skarvet or Guard Advance most likely. I am a crummy skier, but i like to explore. Think transportation skis. Recommend me something. Waxables need not apply.

Re: alaska sizing

I ordered 46 and 47 in the alaska 75. I am usually 11.5 or 12 US in shoes. My other ski boots are 29.5 mondo Garmont excursions worn with a thin to medium sock. With that same sock the 46 alaska is about right just trying it on, might want a slightly thicker sock. My feet probably like D to E width....

So for those who have had - or just tried on - Alaskas in both 75 and NNN-BC, do you think they fit the same?

Re: Alaska insoles

Alaska insoles

I just got my hands on some Alaska 75`s, and i see the insole seems to be glued in. I use prescription orthotics, so I would need to get the factory insole out. For all you Alaska owners, have you taken yours out and did you have any problems doing it.?

I dont think smile plates are going to help, since the screws are right in the crack line.

Re: Johnny, Pierre, and the beast. Or the new Telemark Tech Norm (TTN) vs the future of XCD (NTN-BC)

On the bumper idea - I've been thinking of similar possibilities for a while, and the Voile toepiece they use with their splitboard rigs and now their TTS binding seems to be the one to use - but my concept I think is different, in that all I am thinking the bumper would do is just give you that lit...

Re: Uh-oh... pinholes ripped on my Alaskas

Smile pates will definitely do the deed if your pins have carved channels out to the toe as you describe. Back in the day I installed a few pair; I worked in a ski shop and I built a router jig for it. clamp the boot in, and one pass with the router left a perfect smile at just the right depth. If t...

Re: 2019 ALFA Guard Advance GTX M Boots Review

Anybody know if the Skarvets run same as the Guards? if so, then one could order Skarvets from REI for fit, then return them and order same size Guards from overseas.
