New oldschool skis?

Last year I tried my old Rossi TRS and loved them. But at 210 they are too long. So I launched on a hunt for 200-205 oldschool teleboards. ...Those old Rossis are very light and Steve Barnetts ideal width --> 68x58x65. A simple lively board. I just realized that I dont need an old ski. They can be h...

C'mon, speculate on old Swallow RTS Carbon!

C'mon cant you guys speculate on some old Swallow RTS Carbon Graphic Race/Comp Super Rim skis? I am wondering if maybe they have held up better over time than the regular Supers due to the Carbon/Graphite angle??? As in my previous post I am wondering how they compare to TR/Alpine. ... From the scan...

Opinions on Swallow TR and Carbon?

Hi! I used to love the tan colored Swallow TR Alpine in the bumps. 200 or 205, I cant recall. But I also had 210s and they were def too long. Does anyone remember what their Carbon Graphite skis were like? ...Esp as compared to the tan TR Alpines. THANKS!

Compare Swallow TR to RTS?

Ha! Flashback! Anyone remember?

I used to love my Swallow TR 200 for the bumps. I keep looking to buy an old pair. I found some TR in 205. But I also found RTS Carbon Comp in 200. Never tried that model. Anyone know how RTS compared to the TR? Thanks!

Re: Where to buy Asnes mountain race?

Also I wonder just what is up with all the voodoo talk about the various versions of Asnes mid-width skis and their magic? It seems like there is cult worship about what they do in various subtley different snow conditions. To say the least it ends up being a bit confusing. I think some models are w...

Where to buy Asnes mountain race?

I dont see them listed at Neptune. That is where I thought they would be available in the USA. Is November too late and now they are all gone again? Anywhere else to shop?

WTB: anything like Rossi TRS 1988 200/205

In search of... My friends tell me to keep an eye on the ski-fences at brewpubs... I'm looking for TRS but if I can't find any, then something that was like them. They seemed better for lift-served tele for me back in the day. I have a pair of 210's but even though they still ski great for me they'r...

Re: I had no idea you could go downhill on XC skis...video proof

At least the Powder reporter asked questions instead of just claiming to know. Why would someone make their life harder? And noting that for sure there'd be more crashes. Well... sliding out in the snow or even high-siding while using light gear is no big deal, it's part of skiing, often part of tur...

Low angle with wide boards is done around Mid-Michigan to help surf the shrubbery. ...Wide boards do seem to help w both regular float and trash surfing. Skiing over sticks and glancing off bark is all way less of a bother.

WTB: Rossi TRS 200/205. Anyone?

Friends tell me I should just keep an eye on various ski-fences to find my beloved old Rossi TRS. Ha! I have some 210 Rossi's. I used to ski 205's back in the day and 210's always felt too long and still do. I'd love some 200 or 205 if anyone has some they're not using! Cash money! I'm also consider...
