Re: Lundhags Boots

I wore a 46 and then 47 nnnbc Alaskan. Suffered needlessly for years. Then I found some Expedition nnnbcs through a very kind forum member on this site. They are 46, made a couple years ago. I can easily wear two sock and still have room. Still experimenting with lacing, and the boots are not broken...

Re: Books books books!

I would suggest everyone read Erlin Stroms “pioneers on skis” which recounts his skiing near Mt Athabaska and his ascent of Denali in the 30’s. Grant Pearson was a partner on that climb and was a real badass, legendary around here. They used skis on the Muldrow glacier to great effect, and Strom eve...

Re: Ordering Lundhags in USA or Alaska

I have two pairs of AKs, 46 and 47. The 47s fit better, and would be perfect except I have a nerve tumor issue in one foot (too many years of climbing shoes etc, just had to have those La $portiva and Dinofit boots!!?). Usually wear 46 shoes. That foot has widened around the injury, and requires ple...

Re: Ordering Lundhags in USA or Alaska

Thanks. I checked varuste first thing, but appears they have little in stock at the moment. Bohemian, I am interested in your offer, maybe it’s best if I contact you directly by PM? I have many hundreds of miles on Alaskas, but my feet continue to deteriorate, and so looking for a little wider boot,...

Ordering Lundhags in USA or Alaska

Happy winter, Many snowy days here in the north already, the calm is settling in. Alas, the alpina Alaskas are too narrow still, and I will not tolerate another season of pain! The Lundhags expedition boots have caught my eye, but seems to be a challenge to get them to ship to USA or Alaska. The NNN...

Re: Looking for off track suggestions in 120cm ski

Howdy fellow Alaskan. Been suffering through this same dilemma. Those Asnes snowmann skis are cute and functional, and also light. They’re not a real skiers ski, which might sound preposterous, but my three year old complained that they were “twisty”. The edges are rounded, which gives little confid...

Re: New FT62 Q/A — How true should new skis be?

The new Nordic Twist? This is nuts. Call Asnes and they will send you another pair post haste. Ask me how I know. Trying to talk myself out of calling them again, truthfully. My replacement Ingstad waxless are railing like crazy in the tips and tails. I’ve filed them twice and they’re still sproutin...

Anybody been getting out on their Tindans? It’d be great to hear from those that have actually made a few turns on em!? Hyper Vectors are calling...

Re: Asnes Tindan 86 Ski Review

Thank you, Woods. Your comments ring true and your use of the Universal Ski Dialect is easily understood by me. That is all sounding very nice indeed. Perhaps St Nick can swing through Germany and grab a pair of 187s. Read something interesting- if “free shipping” were a country, it would be the fou...
