i was wondering if anybody had freeheeled on stls? i gather they are pretty soft and park oriented. and i do plan to park ski them but not exclusively. but i wasn't sure how their softer nature would mesh with tele-skiing.
curious about the ar5s too. they seemed similar. any good for tele?
things to ponder: i'm a pretty agressive skier but still not as strong on tele's as alpines. also i'm in NH/east coast. i spend time in the park .. but i still pretty much suck. but that won't stop me from beating some skis up.
just wondering.
any advice is great.

i'm an idiot.. i missed the topic below. though i'm still open to any thoughts not expressed.
how flexible do you really want a tele ski to be? i've heard that a little softer than alpine is good because you aren't pressuring them the same as alpine and i can kinda see how weight is being distributed differently. but i'm subject to reconvincing. |

| i have had no experience with either of these skis but is ski about the same you do on tele's and i also ski in NH and i love my piste pipes which is the same as the older PE's so i dont think that tele specific park skis make much of a difference. i would look into the piste pipe though its a great ski and you could proboably find some older PE's really cheap because they are the same ski. |

I agree with Evan, I am skiing an older model of the piste pipes in NH/VT and they ski pretty nice. Dont know much about the skis ur asking about, but seems to me like you might as well ski telespecific stuff, my brother just got some Karhu agents and really likes them, might want to get on that train too cause K2 bought karhu and is ending production of the Agent, which has gotten lots of rave reviews. You may get some ideas about alpine skis used for tele park skiing at freeheellife, a lot of people over there ski alpine twintis in the park _________________ "who said you have to be old to tele ski?" -PB |

| again i agree with you but im not all for the tele specific, PE's are the same as piste pipes, and line invaders are the same as agents, i love supportig tele companies but if you can find an inexpensive alpine ski with a different top sheet than its telemark counterpart why not save 100 or 200 bucks? |
