|
|
Anyone have a feeling on camber factoring into spins on boxes?
I can slide/spin easier on my decambered rocker pow skis than my tip tail traditional cambered every day stick. Is it me or does it not matter?
Considering a new ride too. 95-100 mid foot low camber tip tail rocker skis planned for about 50% park 50% all mountain dork/jib.
Any thoughts?
Hope more people post on this forum in the future because it's a direction I think can thrive.

| I don't know about rocker and the park. I see it all the time, but all park skis are traditional as far as I know. I ride some Lines that have camber and they spin like mad. Do you have a truly center mount? If you don't have a true center mount, I would do that first - it makes a big difference for switch, spins, and jibs (and works pretty good in powder too). |

Man. Thanks for the response. Spent the last few days figuring out more about boxes and rails. All I know is when I commit to a slide I stick it. Got to quit looking for excuses. I think my setup is fine but do need to upgrade soon. A little rocker might be nice and I'll consider moving my mount further forward. Thx again. _________________ Tele keeps me on my toes. |

| Good to hear. I hear you on the rails/boxes. It is all about commitment. That and looking down to the end of the rail, not at your feet. Where you ride? If you hit the WP Park, look me up. |

Doing all the Ashcat park boxes. Just getting the nerve to move up. Old bones hold me back but can't shake the need to keep trying. WP pretty much every weekend. My 8 year old will be on tele for the first time this weekend so I will be lapping Ashcat with him if you're up there. Can't miss me. Orange bibs, gray coat, orange goggles, yellow back pack. Names's Brian. Hit me up, maybe I'll learn a thing or two. _________________ Tele keeps me on my toes. |

Hey Peter,
Just picked up a pair of park sticks. I have a question about mounting. Where exactly is a center mount? I've mounted a few pair of teles and hope to do these. Hammerheads if it matters.
Pin line/cord center?
Boot center?
Eye it?
I suck!

Sorry for the late (really late) response. Mount them (if you have not already) dead center/boot center. I took mine to Icebox and mounted boot center to ski center. Center center. Sorry to have missed you this season (if you call it that). We must hook up next season! |
