This video is a blast! I know some folks here have some interest in whitewater, but may not keep up with the WW forum posts. If you haven't seen a "creature craft," it's worth a look, and in Class VI.

The overhead tubes probably make it more likely to flip, but with these, who cares? Very rarely are you ever strapped into a boat, but if it makes class VI runnable then go for it!

Me and the Family Activity Coordinator just drove through there on Thursday morning and I wondered if anyone ever ran that water at that level of flow.

Wow! Shocked

Gotta love the croco-kayak.

There was a more hilarious one posted on BTalk years ago...But I couldn't find it.

It actually looks like a pretty good surf boat.

So the two schools of thought on this seem to be:
1) It's an abomination -- no finesse required, just strap in and have an amusement park ride, get stuck in a hole and get spit out, OR
2) This is fantastic because it opens up rivers to boating that would otherwise be unrunnable.
(I have no worldview to protect on this matter.)

That raft is the NTN of whitewater. It makes it all easier, but you loose a lot of style points!

Anyone know where to find video of Jeff Snyder running it in a Bigfoot squirt boat?
(I believe he got extra style points for that.)
