Pistols!
Heavy, Solid...and, if you have the fitness, quick, very Quick.

Mashed potatoes got you knackered? Seth is the answer...

Good luck finding a pair!

No experience with rocker, but I'm guessing they will go up and over rather than make like a D-10 and drive right on through.

Pre rocker Pro-Riders bash through junk pretty well. BD Havocs are still available...they also bash through junk.

I love glop. Glop is one of my favorite conditions - right after powder, corn and slush Cool . My Kehuas do fine in glop. I wish I could keep it from sticking all over the topsheets though. Damn things must weigh 20 pounds by the end of a run sometimes. Laughing

Ron, what type of adventure would such a ski be intended for?

Give some basic boot/ski preferences.

SB would probably suggest a Glittertind and most others would go to the 100mm+ realm. Lots of choice!

Every time I get caught in a foot of wet glop and my Alpina Xterrains (or Lite terrains) just sink in it and resist turning, and I wish I was on my Backups or Kailas, I wonder what the "best" skis might be for glop - and crud as well ? Boots? Excursions or Synergys..If I use my Alpina 2075's, I make sure the snow is decent.

I think the direct answer to your question is bigger, stiffer, and heavier. Tip rocker would be a must for me also. Now how far you want to go this road varies by preference. Every piece of gear you mention would be to light for me in anything near foot of glop. Hell I wouldn't want any of that gear in a foot of fluff. Except maybe the SynerGs.

So I think to get a good answer for you one would need to know exactly how and where you ski and a whole lot more info.

SynerGs will drive even a beefy ski so I guess you have skinning to EYT in mind.

Havocs are reasonably light but still have the ability to cut the cement. If you get them on the long side, they will float better but be a lot of work. On size they will have pretty good a float in nice snow, but push through cement, etc. If you get them shorter, they will try to sink in a bit, so you will have to be good skiing in the snow instead of on it.

Sultan 95s would do...come to think of it, Kendo's would be handy for the same purposes.

Think of it this way:If you could only have one pair of skis and Synergys for boots, and you were going EYT and resort skiing without too much regard for the exact conditions, what would the skis be ?
