Mount Washington Slackfest looks like 12th & 13th. If the road is open for the 5th & 6th, I'll go up then too.

If the snow hangs on into Memorial Day Weekend...The Official Mount Washington Memorial Day BBQ and Slackfest will be on and the Memorial Day 10th Mountain Slalom gates will be set on Monday the 28th....

Barnes Field Campground is ideal for groups to camp. A whole buncha slackers can fit into one site.

Reserve America website for Barnes Field: http://www.reserveamerica.com/campgroundDetails.do?subTabIndex=0&&contractCode=nrso&parkCode=barn

Yesterday, I looked at the East Snowfields from the Kitty Cam. There was thick snow all the way down and partly across the flats of Alpine Gardens. This w/e will be very cold so it's going to stay like that 'till Monday, April 30th. After that it's a chilly week with a bit of moisture...looks quite good to me.

Rob - please keep this thread rolling. I might bring a small contingent from SoVT up there on Saturday the 12th.

Hey rob can you pull out your crystal ball and look into the future for me and tell me what kind of terrain we will be skiing?
I want to bring up my brother, but he is a "Crack at the waist, ski in the back seat alpine stemah".
will we be ski'in stuff that might be a tad over his head?

Its all right at 30 degrees, plus or minus.

Usually the surface is peelaway corn in the mornings and tending to a gigantic, tilted, slurpy later on. We have had days of carvable firm, but they are the exception at that time of year.

he'd be in good company if I show. Which is about a 20% kinda thing right now. While I would bring my excursions and 3pins on some 66mm waist 190cm alpine boards that have shape, I can't see more than one run on those before I pull out my alpine rig (to get a total of two runs)... Wink
