As far as sheer audacity goes, nothing beats Date Night 2009 in NYC. As the George Bush's recession raged, GM was bankrupt and millions were out of work (and still are)...

3 Lear jets, one for Mr. and Mrs. Obama, one for a security detail and one for the press (don't leave home without 'em!)

5 Helicopters

1 Presidential Motorcade

44 US Marines and an additional 20 secret service personnel beyond those on the Lear

Hundreds of NYPD and Port Authority police

It's nice to know though that President Obama reportedly picked up the tab for the dinner and broadway show.

You forgot to add in the cost of booze and hookers for the security detail. Razz

I am sure the next president no matter who will up the vacation $$$.

No, these are things you have actually posted, about me.

And the United States invaded Pakistan.

And the United States never invaded Afghanistan.

And Hans Blix declared Iraq to be WMD-free before the invasion of March 2003.

And the government should buy every person a home
.

All of the above are things you have actually posted. You are a profoundly stupid man.

What? No comment on OJ's innocence?

What is the melt down countdown?
Have you doubled your dose of meds yet.

That in a post-911 world it was unacceptable to allow the status quo in Iraq to continue. Establishing the first and only Arab democracy in the middle east addressed the short term problem of Saddam and the longer term problem of the root causes of Islamic extremism. This approach would pay dividends not only for the people of Iraq, but for the region in general, the United States and the world. It was not just the "Hawks" and the "Crazies" that promoted this approach; there was a pretty broad spectrum of political support for this in the United States. Many of the same people that supported the US's intervention in Bosnia, supported the Iraq War - and they weren't even Republicans! Imagine that!

Any chance of getting a functional democracy in Iraq?
Any facts to support your broad spectrum of support claim?
I recall worldwide demonstrations against the Iraq invasion, even in US cities.
Biggest protests in decades. Guiness lists it as the biggest ever.

I know people that were/are in Bosnia, and none of them supported Iraq.
One sold all his dollars and bought CHF. Smart move as it turns out.
Dollar went from 1.8 to .77 or so.

Also, US casualties in Bosnia = 0 (as a result of violence).
Not bad for a Dem prez.

How'd we do in Iraq? Did we find what we were looking for?
No mention of WMD in your argument, even though WMD was the argument.

So, it was about bringing democracy to the Middle East, and not about WMD?
You are just making the point we all made 10 years ago.

A little viddy to show how well things are going in Iraq:
