All:
I'm in Vienna for the week and have a day off on Friday. Is there any resort skiing still open and recommended within a 1-2 hours? Any advice greatly appreciated!
Thanks |

I don't think you will find anything worth doing or even open that close to Vienna at this time of year. I once went to Semmering which is a bit over an hour by train. It is very low as are the other ski areas close to Vienna. _________________ Nick (AT)

Sorry I'm late to reply. There are a few higher elevation ski areas a couple of hours west of Vienna. You'd need a car. I was in Lunz am See last weekend and Hochkar was still running. They might be closed now, but I skied there a few years ago in late April and it was still pretty nice.
I'm back in the states now, but isn't it sunny and warm there this weekend? The heurigans in the wienerwald would be a good bet too! |
