So do you have something new or are you listening to some old timey 80's big hair crap? _________________ Il n'y a que moi qui a toujours raison.

I don't own an Ipod (don't like earphones), but am thinking of getting one due to space constraints on our music collection.
I probably own more music from the 1880's than the 1980's. If I have something from the 1990's, it's something my younger daughter left here. _________________ "It's what you learn after you know it all that counts" Earl Weaver |

You realize that you can plug these things into normal speakers, or a car stereo.
In other words, you don't need earphones.
I have iTunes on my Mac.
I have a iNano, which I load up with whatever I am interested in that day/week.
My iPod has become obsolete in my life. _________________ You give us what we want in a week, or we beat the hell out of you and take it anyway.

I don't actually have an iPod either. I have a smartphone running Android. So it's like an iPhone, only better. And iPhone is an iPod with a telephone app and and a wireless radio. I also rarely use the earphones/headphones. I mostly plug it into the car audio system. _________________

I could plug it into my car audio (in one car). My stereo receiver doesn't have an IPOD or computer speaker input, but I might replace it soon. I could also use the laptop for MP3 files, no IPOD required. I am guessing you can also use amplified computer speakers with an IPOD.
I probably don't have a reason yet to convert CD's to MP3s except for portability, which isn't that important to me. I still have records and cassettes which take up much more space and require additional equipment. _________________ "It's what you learn after you know it all that counts" Earl Weaver |

srsly?
you can poke fun at people for listening to 80's music in the same breath that you ask people what they are playing on their CD player?
