I spent about a week in Iceland, some road trip and above all ski touring at the Troll Peninsula at the North of the country. These are some impressions of those days
Blue Lagoon a spa near Reykjavik
Local treat
Back-country hot tub
Stunning views near Dalvik
Eyjafjörður as background
Down towards Ólafsfjörður
Iceblasted in Iceland.... wind speed around 20m/s
Beautiful!!
The end of another great day at Eyjafjörður

Lt,
Did you just come back? Your crew looks like they are skiing carefully. I take it that wasn't corn. How did you get from airlines to skiing? Accommodations? On my bucket list as well. When do you think the ideal spring conditions would appear?
Closest snow to Vermont I think. The Gaspe is toast. Probably Newfoundland too.
Winter is coming. _________________ "I may be lost but I'm makin good time" --anon. |

Made mrs robrox and yours truly homesick for a place where we were just late summer visitors.
Very nice score , well done one and all. _________________ "Moderate is not the new Low" - Chris Joosen, USFS Lead Snow Ranger (Tuckerman Ravine, White Mountains National Forest)

Been reading Icelandic mysteries lately--very fun. After seeing RR's photos from their trip, it's moved up on my bucket list.

Your pics of the howling wind reminds me of the time I spent a winter in Reykjavik during a flight layover. _________________ Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. |
