Here's a couple from today
There was still a line in 4th of July. Couldn't make it to the lower east switchback from Snowfence without a short hike but the Cosmic Ridge would go so I'd ski Snowfence then head to Cosmic if you want a car shuttle _________________ No amount of money is worth your free time |

| Whip, thx for the pics so tipsters know there really is snow on Indy worth skiing. I skied there Thurs, May 24 right after the last precip event and had 3+ inches (hard to tell real total as wind event also stacked it up much deeper on drifts/pockets) of cold dry snow. Stayed below freezing that day until around 2PM.. Has stayed cold in BV this week and looks like will not heat up until weekend, so snow in Whips pics likely to not change considerably... |

I skinned up from creek crossing up Mountain boy to below headwall at end of valley visible in the 2nd pic on may 26. May 27 skiined up east mountain boy valley. Both were good. Can you skin on fenceline from Pass to the nose dropoff? Has any of you Aspenite skiers ski any of the valleys on the westside? How far do you got to hike to snow up Roaring fork towards Geissler. Looking from view from mtnboys that look like it might be all the ways to the junction of the 2 passes? _________________ Get High on a Mountain skiing! |

Still dealing with the residual effects of yesterday's food poisoning, and the truck has a flat tire that I probably won't be able to fix before tomorrow afternoon.
I'm highly unlikely at this point. Pet some bears for me. |

Yaaa I heard they are having a real problem with bears on westside Ipass toward Aspen. They closed Difficult creek because of them. I wonder if Bears come into the campgrounds looking for a doggie snack and get disappointed if no dogs there! _________________ Get High on a Mountain skiing! |

OK - I'm gonna call it. Lincoln Gulch. I hope to be up there late Friday afternoon-evening. And... can I mooch on somebody's camp stove/kitchen (I off course will be bringing food). It's just that I don't wanna carry a stove on my bike. _________________ "Expect nothing, be ready for Anything" - Samurai Maxim |

The camper has a full kitchen and fridge. No need to worry.
And a separate cooler for the beer.
And a couch if you don't want to bring a tent too. _________________ There's a whiff of the lynch mob or the lemming migration about any overlarge concentration of like-thinking individuals, no matter how virtuous their cause. - PJ O'Rourke |

Heading up to Ipass in an hour or so for daytour in east mtnboy before heading to Lincoln gultch. Hopefully like heard the campground is open and not full. I assume we squeeze in as few sites as possible even though I read there are only 6 sites?. I don't know if anyone will be there before me. I will be there noon to 1pm most likely. I plan only to only camp friday night. _________________ Get High on a Mountain skiing! |

Ps: hottest night of the year so far. It was only mid 40s at 6am here at 10300ft. That not good for snow if not colder at 12k. _________________ Get High on a Mountain skiing! |

I'm gonna have to bail, was looking forward to a camp and ski, but got too much on the plate for now. Hope to get a June-ski in, before hanging up the skis. Have fun out there. _________________ A smooth sea never made a skillful mariner. |
