|
|
| I'm wondering if anyone has cut/trimmed/shortened the height of an intuition type boot liner. They are typically stitched at the top. Would the fabric inner and outer layers covering the foam completely fall apart or start unravelling uncontrollably? They would not be cooked again after they were chopped. I'm thinking the cut could be covered with some type of nylon repair tape. Thanks in advance! |

| It's not about the weight. The liners would go in my wife's new T4s. Trying to up the comfort level without having 5 inches of foam above the top of the boot cuff. Has anyone actually cut into a pair? Oh...the wouldn't be "real" intutitions...probably snowboard type replacement liners. |

| I'd try them untrimmed initially and see if there are any performance issues prior to cutting them. Might work just fine as long as you can stand the awkward look. |

teletori,..... lf you are near a sail maker or a sail repair shop, they have industrial sewing machines that can sew thick material...
Call and ask if he can stitch some material over the top of the edge of your liner. I had a sail maker near me sew a fabric patch over a thick ski bag that I mistakenly sliced with a razor knife.... _________________ the fall line is your friend.... resistance is futile |

Email Intuition and ask.
Seriously.
They kick a$$ and I suspect will give you the straight scoop in less time than it took me to post this. |

| IMO cutting down an intuition would be a BAD idea, if there is some liner sticking up I would /I did thro on an extra power strap |

I'd cut 'em. Have done so with Intuitions.
I wouldn't call Intuition with a question about someone else's liners
( though they are indeed outstanding with help for their liners).
Worst case scenario: the cut line frays. Repair with Gorilla tape, &/or seal the cut line (if there's fraying) with a candle or lighter.
It's really not a big deal. |
