Large feet US 11 or 11.5, so probably it's longs. _________________ "Moderate is not the new Low" - Chris Joosen, USFS Lead Snow Ranger (Tuckerman Ravine, White Mountains National Forest) |

You'd want longs, for sure. Will poke around the gear room this weekend (I sure can't go skiing Sunday as planned) and get back to you. _________________ --ts01 |

YES IT HAS!!!!
I had the 3pin CRB on old K2 world piste (80 mm waist) and never had problems. This was the first tele set-up i owned and rode it fine for a season or two.
Then I mounted it onto a black diamond megawatt (125mm waist) and all hell broke loose. In 5 days of riding I broke the friction plate twice and the entire plastic base plate once. The binding will work fine for modest uses but I'm a big guy (190lbs 6ft) with a big boot (mondo 30.5) and like to ski hard.
Voile customer service rocks!!! they sent me a brand new switchback X2 for free. I've still got the CRB and lots of misc. pieces. I need to order aother friction pad to have a complete pair of binders. I had thought about keeping them but could potentially sell if the market was right |

Why do I use the Voile releasable? Because in 30+ years of tele they have saved my knees at least twice and they are from one of the best companies I've ever dealt with. Are they for everyone - no - but MY knees are happy. My options for releasable bindings just got severely limited. I will miss them. _________________ .....clueless.... |

x2 with only 2/3+ the years of experience. BUT I am VERY hopefull on the releasable switchback (in fact, I will demand it if it gets to the market). |

I was there at one point. Many many happy years on Voile but have moved on to NTN for my bigger gear and very pleased. Anxious to try out the Freedom. The demise of the CRB certainly brings a pang of nostalgia for me though. Great bindings all the way around. Currently running non-releasable Switchbacks on my Boundless, would consider releasables if they come around and the weight is right. _________________ "Throw you in the pigpen, and you come out vice president of the hogs." ROB - sorry for delay. Checked and indeed they are long rods. I'll PM in a moment.
And let's keep those facts and rumors coming on the releasable switchback - that would be AWESOME, I would be in for a pair or three. _________________ --ts01 |

ROGER HAVCO!
Getting yelled at for getting more toys will be easier to stand if I get a release and can still ski....
besides, she-who-must-be-obeyed is really cute when she's ticked off _________________ "Moderate is not the new Low" - Chris Joosen, USFS Lead Snow Ranger (Tuckerman Ravine, White Mountains National Forest) |
