|
|
Drawing on the collective wisdom again.
So, we were gone for a week, and about halfway through our housesitter smoked our stash and the stash has not been seen since. Our stash is mostly stashed indoors as we have been bogarted and we believe it's safer. Stash has, from time to time, gotten smoked up and been replentished, but always within 24-36 hours. This was almost 5 days ago at this point and the neighbors, who smoked some on days 1 and 2, have not been high since.
But, what I'm looking for with this thread isn't advice on how to get the stash back. We're exhausting those measures. What I need is legal advice on what recourses we might have against the housesitter.
In regards to the stash, yes of course, but it has been relayed to us that the housesitter did not actually fulfill her contractual obligations, either. She was expected to stay sober every night, and she did not, leaving our stash smouldering for extraordinarily long periods of time. She was expected to not be bonging out during the day any longer than 4-5 hours at a time, but she was often smoking for ~10 hours returning for "5 minute" vaporizer session according to our neighbors.
In other words, she was nothing short of a Bogart. What I would like to know is if anyone here knows to what extent the law would allow us to pursue charges. I think in Boulder this would be considered denial of humane medical treatment.Wink

Grant FTW!
See, I was going out to my cave this morning to check in on ttips and I accidentally locked myself out of the house. I went all around to every open window and determined there were none that I could get in. I found a spare key in the cave, but it must have been for the old house. Fortunately, I keep my stash OUTDOORS, so I sat down, smoked a bowl and came to the realization that something was going to have to get broken. It was the screen to the kitchen window and whupteedoo, I was in. Thank GOD that I live in Boulder, where nobody would blink at someone entering a house through the kitchen window, and that I keep my stash in a safe place outdoors!
Legally, if you have a MMJ card you could have her arrested for stealing your legally obtained stash. Of course if that stash was more than two ounces, you might want to think twice about that one. Otherwise I got nothing. _________________ that sounds like a sure-fire way to get bitch-slapped by devil's club -- dschane |

I still say, find a friend, mooch some, fire it up and then, while you are walking home, think on ways to let it go.
