Recently? No. Lived and went to school in England for a year, travelled through Europe many times. Have lived and travelled all over this country. Been to Alaska on two occasions - worked in a cannery there one summer.

I think OWS and the whole 99% thing is a crock of shit. What does my travel history have to do with any of this?

Serious question....what do you call a reasonable compensation plan ? What is unreasonable, or is that something that you "know it when you see it"? Do you really think the CEOs comp should be capped at some multiple of the lowest paid employee?

Definitely, “you’ll know it when you see it”. CEO Dimon of JPM, will make 23 million while his company recently took a 2 to 3 billion $$ hit. Prior to this year, one would have to think Dimon was worth it, now, not so much.

Huh? He asked, I answered. I'm sure you travelled to far more exotic locales during your pampered childhood and then, later, during your pampered adulthood. Big deal. I also had big student loans, Steve, that I paid off without any help from Mommy, Daddy or wifey; another concept that I'm sure you can't relate to. I have no opinion on whether Jeremy Dimon makes to much but find your comment a bit on the simple side. First we don't know yet if the loss is 2 billion. The positions are not closed and the quoted 2 billion loss is a mark to market estimate. The loss could end up a lot more or nothing at all. In addition how much will JP Morgan make this year versus last year. They made 19 billion last year and appear to be doing better this year.

So if Dimon can make a few billion more for his firm year in and year out then say most other CEO or most other investment banks I think it might be worth it to the shareholders to pay him quite a few million more to keep him around.

This does not make great liberal talking points but is simple math to any shareholder or informed interested party.

Hey dont make fun of Tagg Romney, or was it Tripp, maybe Trigg, Hell who knows he could be father of all three you know it is a small world.

Quote:
Then San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro drove the point home in his keynote speech, mocking Romney’s suggestion that students looking for college money turn to their parents. “‘Borrow money if you have to from your parents,’ he told them. Gee, why didn’t I think of that?” He added: “I don't think Gov. Romney meant any harm. I think he’s a good guy. He just has no idea how good he’s had it.”

The NYT video had someone holding a poster stating; "Regulate the Art Market". Why?

Because if you've been following the international art market it's become a source of manipulation and distortions of the type that are often illegal in financial markets?
