A pretty funny, and somewhat accurate rant on the weenies down at these OWS protests

“It’s this envy and shame, and there’s gonna be a lot more of it,” he warns. “It used to be back in the day, a father was walking his son and they’d see a guy go buy in his Rolls Royce. There goes Mr. Jenkins. Look up to him.’ What do we do now? Oooh, look at him. Does he need that car? Why does he need to drive that car? Let’s throw a rock at it.”

Yeah. And before that, more rock-throwing.

It is amusing that the situation can be accurately described, but that he apparently thinks the solution is to merely wish it away.

There's always a rock-throwing contingent. Things aren't going particularly well when it grows.

It also used to be the fellow in the Rolls Royce worked very long and hard to earn a wage fifty or a hundred times higher than the workers at his company, and knew more about the company than any of his staff.

Now you get appointed to a Board and for showing up four days a year you make $250,000 and the CEO's secretary has to whisper to you some of the basic fundamentals of the business.

The problem is that a growing number of people think that way but the reality couldn't be further from the truth.

Like most things, the fantastic outlandish stories are the most highly publicized and perpetuated, yet they amount to just a small percentage of the whole. Similar to those welfare queens on the other end of the spectrum Wink

Really? Show me a large corporation (over $1 billion annual revenues) that you think has a reasonable compensation program for its senior management.

Perhaps executive salaries at those size companies are out of alignment with the company employees. That's not what I was responding to of the context of the point. Rather my comment was in response to your first point about the hard work and company knowledge maintained by the CEO's.
