Not up for another ski up on Stowe, we headed to a new bc area for me, looking for a steep line suggested by another ttpster. We were prevented from accessing the line due to a wall of thick spruce, but on the way up we descovered this little gem. Only about 20 degrees but wide open for 700 vert. or so.

Someone else liked this place well enough to lug up a full sized cast iron woodstove for what used to be a cabin here.

Moose Femur? top of the glade at 3100 feet.

I may return later this week. Nothing else to do outside with this rain.

Nice photos Nick. Hopefully we'll get a chance to ski together next season.

Hey Dirk, looking forward to it. I have found some nice stuff quite close to you.

Hi Andrew. No, further North. BTW I understand that there are some lines in there somewhere! Incidentally, Hillmap, the mapping website you turned me on to is very useful. Did you get out at all in this miserable winter?

I had two mind-blowing pow days on the back of mansfield, obvious stuff but empty when I was there.

got my new Praxis and tested them on the resort, too. Amazing! Can't wait for the real deal.

The current snow storm in PA. May not be visible at night. Also can look at laurel highland snowmobile cam (hard to see from snow on lense). I hear 18 in new snow in places there. Poor trees with leaves!!! Use to live and ski in PA. Record heat here in Colorado with 80's Denver today and next 2 days. Even mid 60s here at 10,000+ ft. Might look at seven springs cam

Snow on Mt Ellen, this morning. I don't know how much, as I'm looking from a ways away with horrible eyesight, but it is newly white.
