Am looking for a snowblower and a 4wd vehicle.
Anyone got something used in good shape they want to part with?
TWD
The big question is going to be how fast do the snow levels fall to lake level and how much moisture is left afterward. The Euro shows the most post-fronal precip Wednesday night. It should be mostly all snow on the peaks and then the snow levels should drop to around 7000 ft. by Wednesday evening, and finally to lake level Wednesday night.
It’s way too early to talk about snow amounts but you know that is how I roll. If this evenings models were to play out we would see 1-3 inches in Truckee and South Lake, 3-6 inches at lake level up to 7000 ft. 6-12 inches above 7000 feet and 12-18 inches above 8000 ft. and along the crest. If the storm speeds up and the snow levels drop during the day on Wednesday with the heaviest preccip before Wednesday night, then I think the high sun angle prevents any lake level snow accumulation. But right now it appears we will have snow snow at night. |

That would surely be amazing since it was 90 yesterday and mostly 90's all last week. Warm here right now too. Anyway, today's probably our last windsurf day for this year, got over 50 days this season and it was a weak season wind wise. So pretty burned out chasing wind and looking foreward to chasing some pow. Thurs looks interesting, if things fell together there is potential for some skiing like poaching the resort as the rocks are mostly groomed out. We'll see. _________________ Just Say No To Groomed Snow |

As of Sunday evening, it's upgraded to Winter Storm Watch for Tues. PM & Wednesday above 7,000 feet, with up to 10" on the crest!
Though it's worth mentioning they often overinflate these things before they tune up a little for the season... Also, the current prediction still says that the bulk of precip is expected to fall before the temperatures fall. Typical of a lot of Sierra storms that are not between December February.
Will it be another year where the Powder Dan types ski Bloody Couloir before Halloween?? |

Wednesday Night's forecast for way out near Red Slate Peak is "up to" around 10-13 inches of snow! Totally depends on whether the cold arrives at the same time as the precipitation, though. _________________ Eight miles high, and when you touch down

| Glad B started this thread. It's raining much more than forecast on the Peninsula in the Bay Area, and much earlier than forecast. Quad -ditto on the windsurfing, the rain in April and May messed up two months that are normally awesome down here. But what a change! |

Strange - Davis got a lot more rain than forecast, but the radar showed it basically running into an invisible wall running N-S along highway 99. Very little rain even made it into the foothills.
I left the outdoor furniture cushions out yesterday and last night, so the real rain and snow is coming soon! |

| AMAZING!!! Hard to believe that less than 15 hours ago there wasn't a single snow flake to to be seen! It won't last too long out in the open, but I'm fully on board now with any slobbering and frothing that may ensue!! |
