Patrick~

Step one: Go to Icy Waves.

Step two: Rent gear. Grab board.

Step three: Hit Cannon Beach.

Repeat as needed and as conditions allow.

You're welcome.

If you started slogging 5 hours ago you would already be there.
Or have a better perspective on distance, time and what it takes.

Great Yakutat photos, AKPM
Funhog too- nice
thanks Uni for keeping the stoke alive!
Plenty of good peakbagging/ ski combo options here in the front range. I've been exploring N side terrain locally.
Ramp- several other options await:

Tanaina east today, finally out of the clouds:

this was the vis most of the day (Williwaw):

bad photo, but the curving coolie was fun- that's all I saw of it:

Finally light looking home:

akpm> Please post shots of surfers and hope you are also learning to surf! there may be hope for getting you off 2 planks and turning all dark side (knuckledragger)

Funhog your fundog stoke is always appreciated! The crust is a must ! I love what a great life you provide for your full time and temporary four legged friends! My old dog is not getting around so well and it is tough on me! Way to keep the tails waggin'!

i like this shot of a successful bore tide surfer walking back to the beach as a secondary bore curls behind him....not quite Yakutat steeze but still endless summerish! Give Thanks!

Oh man, I just came back from a big Chitina dip net strike out. Not one fish.

Anyway, I write because its good to see my regular Ak Ski regulars still charging and stoking. Very welcome return to the cyber world indeed. It seems as though we are all a bit cheerier than we were at this time last year.

Damn, Smoke- that's a great shot of the surfer with the Bore Tide behind rolling. 110 on that one.

Hey, Patrick- the term surfing is a misnomer. It should be called paddling. So little time is spent standing on the board.

Keep trying- once it clicks....
