thanks..glad u liked them.. it's(being there n taking pix) @ least half the fun of skiing for me .. taking a couple young compadres from cabo san lucas boarding in the am -- i really don't know a damn thing about boarding, so i guess what i'll really be doing is helping fer-uh-ners up out of their sitzmarks-- and i'll get some great pix of fun in the powder ....btw, in the pix i could have pointed out apprx locations of 4 other resorts : schweitzer, 49 degrees, lookout and silver mountain..also moscow mountain (closed), so 5 i guess..

a few brave soles went tentatively through the adjacent glades.. there's lotsa tree skiing and a whole backside ( complete with warning signs) on the west slope with some old grown-over runs where the old lodge an lifts were.. i would loved to have seen u sliding on the wind crust and ice off the groomers yesterday.. no thanks..i have no real crust busters

The sun returns..S Meadows are prone to the sun and wind crusts ..

It's mid-winter.. Just hints of change and the sadness that comes with the end of the season!

The mountain makes its weather... The South side takes the brunt ..

Nice views. I see this peak often from different angles and in different seasons. Funny 15 years here and I've never skied it (and I think I missed the toyota free friday, again).

One day I'll cruise up there - definitely some outstanding views and apparently you can even see Moscow Mtn... . I wanna catch it on a high visibility day - means you could see the Wallawas with binos !

Manana - determined to exercise the pass at Jackass (aka Silver)
