In contrast to BD 01, 7TM, or Hammerheads, of which I have never had a single breakage issue...

How many seasons on the Hammerhead with no breakages before NTN?
How many years on the O1 and 7tm?

Thanks for finally answering at least part of my question. That wasn't so hard now was it?
You claim to have skied a total of six years on the three different binding models prior to NTN. Two years on the Hammerhead, two years on 7tms, and two years on the O1, all without any breakage or pullouts.
If true, it does indeed sound like your binding problems began with NTN, and that you had significant experience on three models of bindings prior to your bad luck with NTN.
One thing I'm still not clear on. When exactly did you start telemarking in plastic boots and modern bindings? Your NTN problems began at the start of the 2007/2008 season, subtract six ski seasons and you would have had to have started telemarking at least as far back as the 2001/2002 season. Is this right or did you start even earlier?

counting someone's gear experience by years seems odd. Shouldn't you be considering number of days on the gear (even if that too is inexact, as we've learned that some of us don't really tour when we tour )? _________________ "anecdotes are fine assbaggery is not"

I was thinking to myself.... aren't you harder on your bindings if you ski at the resort all day than if you were touring on them?
i.e. my 60+ days of resort on NTN puts the binding through the paces far more than someone touring on them for 60+ days - assuming advanced terrain is skied. _________________ Drive the cuff

Personally (and I know I am clearly in the minority here ) for some reason I can ski more vert lifted served than touring in a day, can't seem to see why.
So lets say y'all can do 5,000 feet in a day, I usually ski about 10,000+ feet in a day lift served, so something tells me I am putting more miles on the gear than those who tour but what do I know . Or put another way my 50 days is worth 100 BC days.
From what I can tell y'all are Greg Hill doing 10,000 feet a day for a 100 days. I am impressed! _________________ Larry

good point, that's a further consideration. Although when considering breakage to the touring mechanism, I suspect that we're harder on that when touring. _________________ "anecdotes are fine assbaggery is not"

OK, thirty pages has been acheived...Perhaps it's time to let this one die...
And diddy, there you go again, showing your resort skiing bias!!
Remember, people are coming here looking for gear advice....or something...
And, finally, (after my first thirty page NTN thread where I actually read it all....) I will be keeping a detailed record of my days/hours/minutes/seconds, not to mention vertical feet, of every moment on skis, cross referenced, of course, by the gear I'm on, which I will be sure to include with any posts I might make....
And, if, god forbid, I can't get out, or I don't have time to post, I know I can count on other Ttipsters to share their TRs and gear experiences with me through the wonder of the interweb....
Because, for me, I FEEL like I've skied, when I read about and see pictures of other people skiing....
I.E., MORE STOKE PLEASE!!!
....And, at the moment, I really need to get out....so like VT said:

Yea, their idea seems great. One ski/binding for two boots.
I know I tend to love one the way one pair of boots fits and pick my ski/binding of the day around that pair of boots. Since those aren't NTN, my NTN skis sit on the roof rack most of the time. With Garmont's new parallel boot lines looking like nearly the same boot with different toes, it just seems like it would be great to have one boot for both binding systems.

Earth to Meekus, I knew it was a pillow line. I just didn't get it at first.
