Maiden Peak, accessed via the east side trailhead by Davis Lake, is going strong. Amazing coverage -- on skinnable/skiable snow 1.5 miles from car. Made for about a 2 1/2 mile/2800 ft. final descent. New snow meant no pine needles, pollen, and other miscellaneous ski base defiling debris the entire ski down to the approach shoes. Made a couple laps on the northerly and southerly east faces. On a side note, i noticed that there is still very good coverage on the back side of Willamette for easy lap turns for those interested. Maiden should be worth skiing for much of June.

Anybody know about how far up the road to 3 creeks one can drive now? How about Jack Lake? I have been in Texas for the past week and am kinda out of the loop. Sure appreciate temps in the low 70s vs high 90s. Thanks Pin and Buck for the new reports.

High clearance vehicle needed (minor washouts) to get to the not mentioned place we both have in common.

Drove to within 1/4 mile of the Jack Lake trail-head weekend before last. It has snowed since but that should be all there is on that road by now.

Got some freshies today. By no means light dry pow but freshies nonetheless. Toured from Devils lake up to Moraine area and did a couple laps, then on the way home passing Bachelor I noticed the cone had not one single track on it so a buddy and I put 4 tracks on that too. Good times skiing fresh snow June 5.
Got some poor quality pics on my phone. If I upload them I will post 'em.
Cheers

Are they still limiting parking along the highway? Can you park at Devils Lake? How deep is the snow next to the highway? Can you drive up the Todd Lake road? If so, how far?

We skied the CandleStick instead. The thing in the upper R corner. Only minor Schrundage.

A lot of fresh snow. Good size natural releases on East facing chutes.

Looks like mid July pond skimming as the tarn is not been pollinated yet.

Skied South today. Fun alpine conditions with the new snow from the past week's storms. Windy at times with some cool looking flags and spin drift. Sunny today and as usual, fun off the top. Good times

Skied back up Canyon Creek Meadows on Sunday. The snow starts less than a mile from the trail head. Good snow up on the base of 3 Finger Jack. Canyon Creek trail is difficult to follow once it gets to the snow, but it is fairly simple map and compass work to get there. Great slopes, good snow, killer views. What is not to like? Saw several tracks up there proclaiming the passage of pumped adrenalites. Looked like there is another week or two of good skiing up there.
