|

After the recent site crash I was prompted to recreate my screen name and password. I took this opportunity to make a new screen name. I dropped my fake name "Freeze" and I am now going by my real name.
It so refreshing to be out in the open.

I ditched K-Man (which only what drunk people in bars call me) and have re-emerged under my real name. Which is what I wanted to do all along, except someone else had taken this handle on the old board and never used it.

Switched from crossover. I'm not sure this is better, but at least you can guess at my real name. _________________ A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds. --Emerson |

Shan is my real name.
Though it's pronounced Shaaaaan (almost like Shawn.)
Please do not pronounce it as if it rhymes with "can." That's like fingernails on a chalkboard to my ears and I hate it. |

Well, everybody now knows me as Ava Blanche; so I'll stick with Ava Blanche- it's too good a play on words to just drop. "Ava" for avalanche and "Blanche" for white, as in snow.
But the real me is Frank W. Baumann, a professional engineer who lives in Squamish, B.C., and has had a long time interest, both professionally and recreationally, in the avalanche phenomena. _________________ There are no easy solutions, only intelligent choices |

I'm still the same old Jenny. But, with the re-invention of the forum, I momentarily have more posts to my credit than Cesare! But I'm falling rapidly behind the others.
Heck, I might even get in more emoticons than KChuck, at least for a little while |

I am the member formerly known as Icculus. I have changed my username to 'Icarus'. In fact, I originally meant to register as Icarus back in 01/02, but for some reason, Icculus (of Gamehendge legend) is what my fingers typed that fateful day.
I re-registered as Icculus, but never received a verification email...so I guess Icarus it will be. |

My previous (boring) username was taken, so I had to switch to a new (boring) name. I came up with several possibilities, some silly, before I went with my new name. Feel free to take any of them:
Quads of Steel (1)
Quads of Butter (2)
Quad Burn
Tired Quads
Sore Quads
Quads on Fire
(is there a theme here?)
Telemark
Televangelist (was taken in old forum?)
Love to Tele
Live to Tele
Big Toe Little Toe
Mammoth
(1) Seemed a little pretentious for me, and after seeing the Ryan Boyer video, and occasionally spotting him skiing at Mammoth, he should have this screen name.
(2) On the other hand, I'm not that bad. Maybe Quads of Brass.
This is my first post on the new forum, and I'm thrilled to be within 100 posts of Eric O. (But it won't last for long) _________________ AIBOHPHOBIA - Fear of palindromes |
