Nice out there tonight. It rained yesterday and that helped firm things up. Plus the light was good!

Did you do all of the trails in a day? That is on my list for this season.

I've done a couple days where I think I've done everything except something like tramway or morrison creek. Ends up being a little shy of 50 miles.

Hutguy, any chance you could share your 2 or 3 favorite rides up in Summit. While I like the road biking up there I plan on using the MTB more this summer.

I am up less in the summer but still a couple times per month looking for 2-4 hour rides.

Lot's of MTB options here and the melt out is a good 3-5 weeks ahead of average. Rather than giving a lot of descriptions here are some links to various races courses that I designed as well as a link to the course descriptions for the local series which tend to be shorter. There are lots of ways to modify all these loops so the links are just a place to start.

Hope that helps

thanks twopass, I hadn't heard about this. in the thread about this tragedy, I didn't seen any second-guessing or asshattery. I also saw this post:

Quote:
As the parents of the rider who died on Cypress on May 7th we are heartened by and thankful for all the many positive comments and condolences. Our thoughts are with his two companions who we know are severely traumatized by the experience of seeing their friend die. We thank them for all their efforts to help him. We know that with his injuries there was no prospect of a recovery. We gain solace from the fact that he died quickly, unexpectedly, and doing what he loved - riding the trails of North Vancouver.

No worries. Don't hesitate to ask if you have questions.

James, in addition to the good tips on here hutguy and others gave me here, I picked up this map in one of the shops in Breck.

Really sweet map.
Love the summit county riding, can't wait to make another trip there!

Weekday ride in the Michaux State Forest. Yours truly playing stumphumper. I'm batting around .300 on that stump, surely the Hall of Shame awaits.
