and today was my day to live it.

With my wife at the gym and running errands, temps in mid 30's, what could be better than taking my girls Abigail, age 7 and Audrey, age 5 into the woods for picknick.

We all piled in the car and drove the long distance, about .3 miles to the trailhead. After loading and gearing up, we were off.

Here's Abigail and Audrey.

Audrey taking quick breather and giving me a big smile.

The girls on the trail.

Audrey kick steps as Abigail perfects her herringbone techniques

Audrey's all smiles.

Abigail topping out.

Both girls enjoying lunch.

One of the many runs Abigail and Audrey took today.

We're all smiles!

Next year I'll be fitting Abigail and Audrey up with proper gear. They were real troopers to go out in their Alpine gear.

Very cool TR. I like it when dad has to tell his 5 year old to slow down! You're gonna have your hands full in a few years! Very nice TR!!!

Well I can tell you those boys will have to ski pretty damn hard to keep up the those two girls.

Abigails already fixated on skiing trees, moguls runs and the terrain park when we resort ski. And, despite what some may think, she was the one who's pushing me down those runs.

Seeing and hearing the stories of others sharing the outdoors with their families prompted me to want to share. I hope that I will be able to share with my daughters all the wonderfull experiences my parents shared with me.

Glad you all enjoyed. I'm just giddy this morning think how much fun we had.

That's looks great. Nice work! I love doing that kind of thing with my boy too. And for the record, PB & J, although easier than some other sammies, is still a fine staple! My boy loves it!
