Well it was dumping at over 3 inches an hour all day today in Burlington VT. It was truly sick! Unfortunatly I was stuck mounting skis at the shop today. What was I to do? When I got home at 7pm there was about 20 iniches of snow on in the road. Then it hit me, hmmmmm just what Karhu Guides were made for!!!
After tearing up my dead end a bit, I decided to head out on the town and see what was going on. I headed up S.Winooski Ave. where there where drifts well over my waist.
I toured the streets the skis were perfict for this kind of adventure. The side streets were actually very nice skiing. Knee deep and above. I later found out that the bumps were cars.
I eventually skied my self thersty so I headed up lower Church St.
to upper Church St.
I finally made it to my destonation for a Chocolate Thunder Porter!
It was a fast ski home and a few more turns on my street before heding in for some schnapps and hot drinks!! So far the Valentines Day Blizzard has rocked!!!!! Hope to get out to MRG tomorow. We will see if the roads are clear by then. Get out and play! _________________ "Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees." Pretty nuts, eh?
Let's just hope my lot gets plowed. The first 20 yards may be the hardest tomorrow. |

Fun! We used to do XC ski bar tours in Breck during big storms. We'd ski the alleys and sidewalks. When you'd start at the top of main street and head down hill to the Gold Pan it was called a bob sled run. one....two....three....HUPHUPHUPHUP!!! _________________ Creeds and doctrines are like a raft to get you to the other shore and then to relinquish. Did you do the responsible thing and leave a trip itinerary before heading out? Otherwise, if you don't come back....
