Sorry if this is already covered, my brief search didn't see anything and since threads were lost due to the dang hacker. Looks like issues with Wolf Creek are up again. There is an online Petition to voice against the proposed development. Couldn't be any easier to get the message across.

Thanks for the petition link killclimbz. Sending a petition letter couldn't get any easier than that! Hope it's valid without a signature.

Good Luck!

I hope that petition does some good. But I have a feeling unless that petition has an attached bank transaction of a couple million $$ we're going to be SOL.

I am so tired of reading about things like this. This guy's idea couldn't be worse. Doesnt this developer realize that its Wolf Creeks low key mom-n-pop flavor that is so appealing. Oh, and the early season snow doesn't hurt either.

He goes through with that development, and my annual Wolf Creek early season trip will cease. From what I've read, this spot couldn't be worse for what he proposed and it sounds like it's going to be bigger than Vail Village.

Bastards!! Everything doesn't always have to be BIG AS TEXAS.

Does anyone else think that this project is so ridiculously overscale and outrageous that it must be that McCombs is angling for a land swap somewhere else? I mean, how on earth can someone put in a "city" of 8000 people into a community that only has 850 people in the whole county?!?!? At an elevation of almost 11,000 ft? Where the nearest residence is 20 miles away from this development?

Just seems so out of whack that I feel like there has to be a "secret" plan...

Hmmmmm, maybe you're on to something. Those Texans are a sinister lot aren't they? I bet Red is twisting his mustache Snidley Whiplash style right now.

I certainly hope that is his motivation. Watch the FS give him Silverton.
