First it snows, and then it sparkles.

Snow devils with teeth whip up audible attacks through the cracks into helmets, ears and forgotten strips of exposed skin. Tactile bits of frozen dust find openings and bite. On-piste swirling snow erases last minute’s tracks. Buttered up slopes hide beneath the powder clouds blending into whiteout. Smoothie floating. Flying. Taking to the trees lets us see the turns unfold. Sheltering canopy calms and quiets. Silent openings, noiseless motion. Laps in the storm.

The coming days bring blue skies and powder in the sun. At certain angles, the glitter is blinding. At others, it excites and ensnares.

Sweet! Very Happy Thanks for the TR. It helps out those of us in CA with no snow. Sad We can live vicariously through Coloradans.
