I remember in the old forum, or rather this forum before the crash, that there was some discussion re: Avalanche Awareness Classes in the Pacific NW (Portland I think) and a discussion specifically on Glenn Kessler and MountainSavvy.

I am looking to attend an level 1 class and wanted to know if anyone had any experience with them. Mazamas have their own classes and then a link to Glenn's in case their dates don't work, so I assume that MountainSavvy and Glenn are a good outfit, but just wanted to make sure and I can't remember the focus of the discussion on MountainSavvy, but I had thought it seemed negative, maybe a past conflict, or license problem.

Thanks in advance,
Alembical
