Steelman,
way to push the limits of human endurance, and extreme sports in general once again.
Was it an impressive descent, full of sickness? – yes
Risky, with the result of one mistake probable to cost your life? – likely,
Was I impressed? – no, and here’s why: It’s all about the modern advances in gear.
Look, I look at these stunning descents made with the latest Bigfoot technology in the same way as our elders did when plastics replaced leather, fat parabolics replaced skinny straight skis, and the limit of what was classified as skiable shot through the roof.
Sure, none of us wearing early 2000’s AT or tele gear could dare repeat your feat on our seemingly pre-historic technology, but what about style? Where’s your sense of challenge?
So go on pushing the limits with your bigfoots, Mr. Steelman. My Atomics may be dated, heavier, and less nimble than your ride, but they’ve got more class
Great TR rich. _________________ More BC action next week, right here on ESPN 8, "The OCHO"
