I posted these photos to Eric O.'s recent "I can't believe I dropped the camera batteries!" TR just a few minutes before ttips crashed last week. They were taken last Wednesday, Dec. 1st, and feature Eric and his tracks from the day before. I'll let Eric narrate if he wants to, or he can let this photo TR stand as a bizzaro counterpoint to his eloquent, text-only TR from last week.
Sorry there are so many photos. As I said last week, it probably reflects poorly on my editorial judgement, but it's the only way I can try to convey the length and rhythm of this unique ski descent.

Holy Crap!
I don't think we need captions for those, the pics speak nicely! _________________ -Paul |

| Definetly not too many pics that was awesome. You needed them all to really get a feeling for that run. That is one tight and sweet run. |

That's about enough location information for that one! I'll tell you it's not too far from Mammoth Lakes, California.
Julian, you were very generous to offer me first tracks most of the way down even though I'd already ridden the same line the day before.
He's right, you gotta show that many pics to get the feeling of length. It just goes. And goes. And goes. The day before, even without taking pictures, it took me at least 20 minutes of semi-nonstop skiing to complete.
I made a mistake describing the length last year as 2,500'. It's actually around 3,500'. And you can never see much more than 500 feet ahead of you as it twists and turns...

Great shots. I think they just prove how nicely eric's prior TR was written. I had most of those shots in my imagination from his great descriptions. Although the two or so spots where it gets about 6 ft wide and you guys hop the rocks are better served by the photos _________________ Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for.

Awsome pics!
You have to love the eastern sierras!
I think I have a pretty good idea of where that is, but I'm not telling
And don't worry about seeing my tracks there, that is way above my ability. |

Sweet shots Julian, nice to see your manual dexterity (insofar as keeping batteries in the camera) exceeds Eric O's
And a very nice counterpart to the now lost evocative prose report by EO.
You two should go on more trips together, and tag-team the TR duties.
