Or rather the blue and orange...
Last thursday and saturday I finally got out on my new hammerheads and tm-24's. The Hammerheads are such an upgrade from my old riva II's. I skied them in position 4 and after getting everything tweaked right those were the best turns I've had since I started last january. Initially I didn't have the cables tight enough making the binding feel real loose and sloppy after a run or two i realised that if it hadn't been for my custom leash's my skis probably would have fallen off...oops. So i popped them off and tightened everything up. Wow what a difference. My only complaint I had was that it seemed that as I skied them the cables would get longer. Is this normal until the bindings get "broken in" or are my adjusters spinning with use? Other than that I was incredibly sattisfied and am now a very happy HH user. |

I've never noticed an stretching in mine; the adjusters don't seem to spin on their own at all. How much 'pre-load' are you putting in them? Mine are set so that when I get into them, I have to pull the heel throw back about a cm to get them on; this seems to be perfect for me. Are yours looser or tighter than this? _________________ All those who believe in telekinesis, raise my hand. |

The adjusters do spin a little for some people, but the general consensus seems to be that if they do that you're probably running them pretty loose. And if you want them to "feel" looser, just run tight cables with a more forward position of the cable guides.
Some people have put a bit of duct tape or vinyl electrical tape around where the adjuster goes into the heel hoop so that they can run their cables loose-ish without them spinning.
They sure don't spin on their own when there's ice involved. |

Ah, Dan released out of one of his Hammerheads yesterday and one ski just fell off as he was getting onto a lift last week. Seems like he's got them set just a little loose. |
