Bridger Bowl opened early for Dec 4-5. On Saturday, we found excellent conditions and had a great ski day (see picture below). We skied north bowl, high traverse, flippers, and south bowl, all with minimal rock-age. On Sunday, we found very different conditions - firm, scrape, rock mines. Overall it was a fun weekend and simply wonderful to be back up at the local hill.

I had the pleasure of skiing Bridger Bowl this last weekend as well. Only was able to get Sunday in, but it was great to be back making turns at the home of the cold smoke!

Hey cowdog. Sounds like fun up thar. RL was bulletproof as always this time of year. I'm still down for coming up and skiing after the first of the year. I'll keep in touch...

We escaped the desert-like environs of Missoula thurs nite, hit $10 day at Big Sky on fri. (a plonk waitress gave us the real name). It was well worth the visit, decent coverage and no major gouges though a few close calls. Sat. was Bridger, and a surprising amount of powder in the bowl was there for us, and not crowded or skied out. The ridge opened later but we weren't expecting it and didn't have our avi gear. Next day we were back and prepared but Bridger lift broke down, bummer but we got some great beta from graham the patroller and found sweet pow with him and his avi dog in the fingers above pierre's. All in all a good warm up weekend and now its snowing in missoula...
