It makes politicians look like they are doing something. The other things they could do would be to pay the teachers more (and hire better teachers), or fix the schools physically, but those cost money.

This is the schools they are previously attending. If they can learn to read and do arithmetic, this would be an improvement for some students. I would accept some bad science for these students.

The problem is it CREATES a stupid population that vote for idiot politicians that pass stupid laws that benefit nothing for the future of the imbeciles of this country.

Kind of like the state we live in now only worser.

Are you kidding! The school board and teachers of the NOLA city schools should be jailed for malpractice, child neglect and endangerment they have performed for generations. Dismantling this rats nest of incompetence and corruption is the only chance tax payers have because the corrupt union has bought off the corrupt school board. And anyone who wants changed is called a racists or uncle tom because the union and board and students, parents, politicians, police and usually the mayor are all black.

It should be a crime to rob an American child of an education let alone, hope and a future. But it's not so what else are we able to do?

I have since recovered from my Louisiana public education but I'm the exception. I graduated with kids who were technically illiterate and our school was more like a prison yard than what my kids now experience in Vermont public schools. And where the hell was that accountability - it was shielded by delusional liberals keeping stupid people from being educated.

Ha. Vermont schools held up as an example of efficiency. Nothing like a superintendent for every 83 kids. And a robin hood law to spread the property tax wealth around, meaning local voters and boards end up with less power.

Here is the US govt chiming in on the subject.

Quote:
The United States government has assured its citizens that, much like zombies, mermaids probably do not exist, saying in an official post: "No evidence of aquatic humanoids has ever been found".

Don't "delusional liberals" run the schools in VT? Sorry, make that the nation's best education in VT?
