1) It turned out to be a fine gathering of birther loons, whose founding premise (yes, despite the I "Think" Obama Was US Born disclaimers that turn up on backpedal) is that the birth certificate(s) are likely bogus in some way and therefore Obama is foreign-born and shouldn't be President. That is always implied, because if it is not implied, the whole issue is completely pointless.
2) Central to the question as to whether the birth certificate(s) are forgeries, or otherwise false about whether Obama was born in this country at all, is the fact that the state of Hawaii has confirmed, in writing, that the birth documents are genuine and that internal documents additionally show that Obama was born in Hawaii. And so, the birther crusade, as seen in that topic, has turned its focus to the idea that state government itself cannot be trusted to certify its public records. Your nutball friends posted some screen-shot over and over acting like it was some kind of smoking gun even though it wasn't. Crazy and hilarious, but there it is.
3) Your role in that discussion was initially to do your standard "lay off my poor comrades or I'll call you a hypocrite for having dissed Bush and stuff" routine. Nope! No agenda obsession there!! And your potshots surely had nothing to do with the context of what was being discussed!
4) You quickly got carried away though, specifically defending birther queen Laura's position that the state confirmation, which effectively demolished much of the nonsense birth certificate narrative, should be dismissed as nothing more than "hearsay". That the topic's prime-mover in spreading birther idiocy, JPL, immediately joined your position (you can be seen holding hands and skipping through the flowers together on page 10) underscores that your design there wasn't just to make some narrow legel def nitpick.
You're welcome. Own it. Don't worry, I won't be calling you "Birther" on a daily basis a decade from now, because I'm not an emotionally stunted freak, so that should be some consolation.
The Vetting - Exclusive - Obama's Literary Agent in 1991 Booklet: 'Born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii'
Note from Senior Management:
Andrew Breitbart was never a "Birther," and Breitbart News is a site that has never advocated the narrative of "Birtherism." In fact, Andrew believed, as we do, that President Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on August 4, 1961.
It is for that reason that we launched "The Vetting," an ongoing series in which we explore the ideological background of President Obama (and other presidential candidates)--not to re-litigate 2008, but because ideas and actions have consequences.
It is also in that spirit that we discovered, and now present, the booklet described below--one that includes a marketing pitch for a forthcoming book by a then-young, otherwise unknown former president of the Harvard Law Review.
It is evidence--not of the President's foreign origin, but that Barack Obama's public persona has perhaps been presented differently at different times.

Breitbart News has obtained a promotional booklet produced in 1991 by Barack Obama's then-literary agency, Acton & Dystel, which touts Obama as "born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii."
The booklet, which was distributed to "business colleagues" in the publishing industry, includes a brief biography of Obama among the biographies of eighty-nine other authors represented by Acton & Dystel.
It also promotes Obama's anticipated first book, Journeys in Black and White--which Obama abandoned, later publishing Dreams from My Father instead.
I'm kinda shocked that no one on this thread has given Dick Cheney credit for being years ahead of Obama's position on gay marriage. _________________ "Take it from a member of the male species, walking around in public with an erection is somewhat of an embarrassment unless you are a bit..... off"........Bunion

Hey loafer, don't try to change the subject. It's Birther time again!!
Laura, could you please clarify here? Do you think that:
A) Obama was really born in Kenya, that some guy once having said so proves it, and that there was a multi-level conspiracy within Hawaiian government and newspaper publishing to cover that up? Or that...
B) Obama was really born in the US and thus is eligible to be President, contrary to what you have long maintained, but that he "faked his resume" in order to plug a soon aborted book idea? Or is it...
C) Obama's a black guy with African background, and there's sure got to be something fishy about how a guy like that gets to be president, and heck if I know what it is but by golly if we keep digging it's going to turn up!

Another birther allegation goes clunk, what a surprise. Nice to see Breitbart's site carrying on his mission to help gullible wingnuts embarrass themselves.
