Romney's Mormonism doesn't bother me but his weaseliness does. The people most bothered by him being a mormon are the evangelical types who see the LDS church as a cult. They are the ones that supported Santorum.

The OP was satire presented as fact. The satire was directed more at Romney's elitism than at his religious beliefs.

The connection between chemman's anti-mormonism and his hate for Mitt Romney was well established in a long thread last fall. He's not embarasssed by it at all, see his last post to this thread. I'm sure he'll be happy to post more anti-mormon stuff to further prove the point. He won't be able to help himself.

Come on L. You need to be not quite so sensitive about this bigotry you speak of.

Quote:
Matthew 5:38

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’[a] 39 But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. 40 And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well.

Look closely at your hand when you acuse me bro...

And you are right that I dislike Mitt Romney ever since the day I watched and heard him cuss out a Olympic volunteer directing traffic at Snow Basin. Him and his entourage about ran the bus we were riding in off the road and off the mountain. Stopping just in front of our bus to get out of his escalade and making a fool out of his excellency and then denying his actions. Yea I dislike the guy. He is a liar.

Quote:
At the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics Romney got in a public confrontation with a volunteer police officer directing traffic outside an Olympic venue. Police allege Romney said “fuc{” multiple times while berating the cop. Romney declined to apologize to the cop, Shaun Knopp, and while the public berating did happen — he mentions it in his book — Romney made a big point of specifically denying that he used a bad word. (In fact, Romney insisted at the time that he specifically said “H-E double hockey sticks.” Like a child. A remarkably well-behaved child speaking in earshot of his second grade teacher.) He told the Boston Globe that he had two witnesses to corroborate his denial. “I have not used that word since college — all right? — or since high school,” he said.

You are talking about two totally unrelated things. How on earth do you do that?

I have my own opinion about religion, and I put them all in the same basket. I have no need for any of it and have a very low opinion of all religion in general. Granted there may be some good come from such but the bad shit that comes from religion, in my opinion, dwarfs what little good it is worth. My opinion of religion does not extend to those individuals that practice religion. Basically religion in general is good for the individual but the group mentality and many times the end result of a religion is overwhelmingly destructive to societies. You need not look far to find supporting evidence. Mormon, Catholic, Baptist, Muslim, doesn’t matter, they all have had horrendously detrimental results at times in history.

I personally feel there should be certain things that should disqualify you from positions if you will. You should not be a pacifist and a soldier. You should not be a Christian and the ruler of a Muslim country. If you get air sick you should not be a pilot. The list goes on and on if you approach it from a logical standpoint. If your beliefs will not allow you to make proper considerations in decisions then you should not be challenged by those decisions, don't put yourself in that position.

Youarebrainwashed, on the other hand, was being libelous and slanderous. Rolling Eyes

For the record, it's pretty hard to libel an anonymous person on a message board, and even if he did, where's the damages on a board where people voluntarily come here and call each other names like 'cockholster' on a near daily basis?

I thought Romney was supposed to be an emotional flat-liner? You mean he might be human after all? This is good news.

I like the story about his getting hauled off to jail in his bathing suit when he was 20 too.

The Dems are going to have a very tough time finding much dirt on Mitt. If this kind of stuff is their best shot, they're kind of pathetic.

EDIT: Heard a rumor that Mitt tried to give his prom date a hickey !!! Laughing Laughing

Why do elections have to be about "dirt" ? Let Romney stand on his whole flip-flopping "career"..

Bolded by me.

I agree with you on on the Evangelicals with Romney,
but I cannot believe that they supported Santorum, a Catholic.
Got any sources to support that?

It will be interesting to see who the Evangelicals vote for this election, if they vote at all.
