Drove by Loveland yesterday and coverage _at least from the highway - looked a lot better than I would have expected. The forecast is calling for another 3-6 tonight so It might not be too gnarly. I'm planning on being there but am having some back issues and skiing hard snow might not be a good idea. _________________ Creeds and doctrines are like a raft to get you to the other shore and then to relinquish. That's good to hear because last weekend I was pretty well convinced that it was in fact over. I think chair 9 spent more time over dirt than snow. There's wasn't even a clean line down from 4.
My spirits are back up though. |

Does not appear to be worthy of my time.

I truly enjoyed the one I made it to... year before last
don't know if I'll be around for this year's, but if so I'll certainly try and be there - bump for poster on each page - considering the event is still ten days out

Last Sunday, 4 and I assume 8 were closed. North Chutes looked really bad. 9 was open but the only skies I saw were on the road as the rest of the Ridge looked terrible. I stuck to the groomers on 2 and 6. |

We skied 3 runs on 9 in the morning. It was totally white room. While skiing P-Bowl, I had the sensation of freefalling through whiteness waiting to hit the next bump, which I could not see. It was good. After the first run, even as visibility varied, conditions deteriorated somewhat. But we skied powder all day in South Chutes, poma trees, Chair 1, and hiking out from the top of 6. There is sufficient snow to ensure a successful Corn Harvest. Now whether we actually get to ski corn on that day, or powder, or dust on frozen chickenheads remains to be seen. Chez is right...this is CORN Harvest after all. We've been spoiled with the powder harvest over the past couple of years. Let's remember that the $$ goes to a great cause and there's awesome music and swag.
I'm bringing my rock skis and looking forward to seeing everyone! |

| Hope to see you all out there! Prime conditions or not, we have to see this season out in style. Raffle is shaping up, TShirts are very cool this year, Jay's got our Buffalo burgers coming, Rob with the beans and Pastrami. Mark Morris will be playing his world class bluegrass at the event, and last but not least, New Belgium providing the beer. Come on out, all the regulars will be there, and help out a good cause. And skiing Sunday was great, felt like winter finally arrived! |

| Corn skied well today. The lake at the base of Chair 1 was a concern though. |

Always take extended forecasts with a grain of salt but it looks like there will be at least a little snow left.
The high-pressure ridge will be centered over Colorado on Monday. Mid-level moisture will continue to increase, and you can expect the same pattern of widely scattered late afternoon thunderstorms. Tuesday will repeat this pattern. The ridge begins to flatten Wednesday ahead of a low-pressure system that impacts our mountains late Thursday. It looks like another round of light to moderate snowfall starting Thursday night and continuing through next weekend. _________________ Creeds and doctrines are like a raft to get you to the other shore and then to relinquish.
