I'm trying to put up a TR. I've got a picture I took of a topo map.
I have put a line on the map with photoshop showing the route we took. Every time I save the picture, the line disappears.
How do I keep the line in the picture in photoshop when I save it?
Or maybe you could do it for me? Very Happy

Here is the picture

Just below the word 'Horse' is peak 5255'. See where the road makes a sharp turn to the left and faces north? Follow that ridge directly west to peak 5255' and on up to the NW to peak 5620'.
Then west again and on up to the NW where the big ridge meets the top - 6726'.

thanx for the help!

Photoshop edits are done in layers. So the line you drew is in a different layer. When you do this, the file type automatically changes to .psd, a Photoshop proprietary format that preserves the layers. So you need to merge layers or flatten the image under the Layer menu before you save. And you need to save as a .jpg after you flatten. You might as well keep the .psd too as that will allow you to edit the layers.

Layer > Flatten Image

Then save as .jpg

Has anyone else seen Pixler?
http://pixlr.com/

I'd be pissed if I actually paid for P-shop.
Pixler does about all the same edits, like Gimp, but is online and free. It's incredible.

If PS is too complicated, just open the image in MS Paint and draw the lines on the map. Save it as a different file name and as a jpeg.

Or in PS, open the image, ctrl+j to copy the layer, draw on the new layer, rt click on the background (1st layer) and choose flatten or just press ctrl+e.

Save image as a jpeg.

I thought everyone had stopped drawing their routes and instead
uploaded their track from GPS ...

If you don't have GPS track - you were not really there.

Did you tour in them? Gnar! Cool

I had SX92 Equips but one of them exploded on a landing maybe 20 years ago.

Yeah, I toured in them for years. Very comfortable and light. Fit my foot perfectly. I can just imagine putting some nice baked liners in there.
