Thank you for sharing the viddy, hpd. That fall didn't look like anything and you seemed to remain amazingly calm. _________________ Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. |

^^^ I got all nervous watching that, like when the music gets suspenseful in a horror show.
The original video went private? I don't have a vimeo membership, but would love to see the footage of Jackson before the fateful trip out of bounds.
On the bright side, the seasons mostly over. I did my ACL last season in late december, so I missed much of an epic season and had this marginal snow year for my comeback season.
Speedy recovery to you!

HM, just use the password "Josh" to watch that longer compilation. I wanted to limit access a bit since that short clip was linked in a news article. Cheers _________________ let 'er buck |

| Oh man, speedy healing to you!! Amazing how things went from awesome to broken in .5 seconds. I wonder if that crash landing earlier was a factor? Impossible to say of course. You hit something in the snow? Good to think about before I go out and ski shallow powder tomorrow. |

Alright. That snapping sound as you fall is ?
Don't think I'll be able to forget that sound... |

I did a lot more squealing when I broke my tib. Glad you got out OK. Better than ligament damage (sorry Eric!). _________________ How did a species as dumb as me ever get to be dominant on this planet? |

I was mulling that over too, but really that was a pretty low impact tumble, especially since I didn't try to fight it when I landed a little too far back. Seems unlikely, especially as I ripped another 600 vert of rowdy snow coming out of Corbets with no problem. Like you say, I guess I will never know. _________________ let 'er buck |

HPD-
Wishing you a speedy and complete recovery. Amazing how one's perspective on life can change in a matter of seconds. Thanks for for being the guinea pig and teaching us all a good lesson... that snow sure did look nice though.
Cheers. _________________ "What moves men of genius, or rather what inspires their work, is not new ideas, but their obsession with the idea that what has already been said is still not enough." -Eugene Delacroix |

Ouch. Reminds me of that sickening feeling of being broken-worse than the pain itself-after my femur break. Luckily I was at a resort.
Glad to see that you got out and are recovering. |
