It takes two to tango. Anyway, next week I'm gonna start a thread on dpp that'll take up all his attention. Quid pro quo and all that.

Not really. One obnoxious troller can disrupt an entire board, and that's what's been happening here for far too long. Even if all the regulars choose to ignore him 100% of the time, there will always be new people for VDrifter to tango with and turn perfectly postive threads into shiiiit shows.

Wtf? I am on TGR , but seldom do much there.. TGR is for the really awesome only.. one interesting thing sticks out here and that is people who have almost NOTHING to say on the forum, always jump in for a good ol' gangbang, hoping to become members in some bizarre standing..herd mentaility..

That's not the way I see it. Regular forum members who have tangled with vd in the past engage him, bait him, and hurl abuse at him and anyone who points it out to them. The new people in this thread are responding to those exchanges.

As for "disrupting an entire board", making sweeping statements like that is just asking him to tango.

You see it wrong.

My response to vdrifter in this thread is based on his comments here and here alone, so please don't pretend to know what's in my mind.

No one engaged, baited nor hurled abuse at him on this thread. On the contrary, vdrifter read a general comment and got all hot and bothered, hurling his own insults to which the responses were restrained, and turning new member Mary's thread into yet another of his trainwrecks.

Dear vdrifter:

I would like to tell you a true story.

In my work, there are one or two issues where I disagree with the vast majority of my colleagues. The issues have been discussed many times, and each time I remain in the minority. Usually a minority of one.

I believe in my heart of hearts that I am right, and they are wrong. Why they are wrong I don't know -- I suspect too much lead as kids?

When these issues come up at work you know what I do? I shut the F up. Because it doesn't do anyone any good to rehash the same discussion. And because if I do, it discredits my opinion on other issues, where I might actually make headway.

I'm still right. And privately I bask in the glow of my superior intellect and wisdom. But I shut the F up about it.

Now, try re-reading this post and replace the word "work" with "telemarktips", and the words "me/my/I" with "vdrifter11".

Next time you feel the urge to post about DPP, try to just walk away from the keyboard, grab a cup of coffee, and sit for a few minutes smugly smiling to yourself about how you are not only smarter but also the better person. It works for me.

Best advice on this thread.

drifter11,

Thank you for messing up a perfectly good thread. I was enjoying following along until these last few pages. Yes there are alot of us who "don't have much to say" but read this forum frequently. Many of us are women. Now I don't know what your problem is, and you sound a bit like a raving maniac, but I too would like for you to take jbf's advise and learn how and when it's time to stfu. Your time was back on page three or something. I just don't understand why you had to come on here and pick a fight. Go start your own thread and mess it up.

I think it's been hinted at, but something else just came to mind regarding Mary's situation.

Visualizing the good turns could help during the off season...of course, if your season is continuing, getting some private lessons would be the best start...that way you would have something good to remember for any visualizations.

All the best Smile
